"Yoga was designed to revolutionise your life. Anything less than that is simply exercise." - Max Strom
Yoga is a great workout. And it is much more than that! At Zen Librarian, yoga is taught according to its ancient origin: uniting Mind and Body. In the lessons, we explore the body that we have, with all its individual quirks. We work from there, discovering endless possibilities. Every lesson contains elements of pranayama (breathing), asanas (poses) and savasana (meditation).
The emphasis is on alignment, the breath working with the body to guide the poses, to come into a safe and mindful practice.
Marion van Engelen discovered yoga in 1999 and has practised ashtanga and flow yoga ever since with teachers in Zambia, Egypt, China (Shanghai), Luxembourg and the Netherlands. She is a qualified yoga teacher (RYT 200), and trained with Hilary Brown at Yoga Moves in Utrecht.
